Langley Newborn Photography Session

Another Share from the Summer - on one of the hottest days of the year (no space heater needed here!), I was invited into the Smith Family home for some beautiful newborn images.

This is what I would call the perfect set-up for newborn photography, light was pouring into the upstairs level from every angle. Often, during a session we’re strategically having to find light near windows, open blinds, cheat a bit in our placements - but the white walls and large windows reflected the light beautifully, making my job extremely easy.

The new mom was absolutely glowing with excitement! So beautiful, definitely one of the most gorgeous moms I've ever seen - there's no way I glowed light that post-pardum. The happiness, faith and togetherness of this family was genuine and it showed in every image. LOVE IT! I truly love every newborn session I get to do - each one poses such unique challenges, whether it be a toddler, a cranky baby, the space, the lighting available, so it keeps me on my toes! That being said, there wasn't too much to complain about during this session, although I did mention the heat! HOLY MOLY - I had the foresight to bring a sweat rag, as the outside temp was at least 35 degrees, and the inside couldn't have been too far off. Believe it or not, there are a lot of physical demands during the job - moving furniture, jumping up on chairs or a table, chasing a toddler down the beach - phewf! I'm hitting the gym 4-5 days a week, just to keep up.
