This North Vancouver lifestyle newborn session is a bit late getting to the blog, this session with baby Connor had this amazing wanderlust vibe and feel, just look at that nursery. It also had some amazing family heirloom touches that were near and dear to this tight-nit family. I've known Chantelle for about 20 years, and she's a natural mom full of warmth and love, it's no wonder that she's also a Kindergarten teacher! #LifestyleNewborn #Newborn #NorthVancouver
I was so excited to photograph baby Nora at their downtown Vancouver highrise - I had taken a few maternity photos of Jess in the summer as part of an extended family Whytecliff Park session, so when their baby girl arrived I couldn't wait! She was such a sweet baby, and Jess did an awesome job of making her 'milk-drunk' and she slept pretty much the entire shoot, except for when she decided to pee all over dad. Sorry, Sean - way to take one for the team!
This ended up bei
The past two weeks were some of the busiest I’ve had in a long while, the good news is they were "fun-busy" and packed with awesome friends, throwing my best friend a bridal shower, running the Half Corked Marathon in Oliver and a family vacation among sunny vineyards. But now its back to reality, (although I really love my photography reality) I’ve got some fun shoots planned in the coming weeks, including a maternity session on Friday night. But now we get to look back on
Up next on the blog is one of my favourite lifestyle newborn photo sessions! I travelled to North Vancouver where Kelsey and Ryan had just welcomed the most adorable baby boy. I was so excited when they contacted me to take their newborn photos and mentioned that there was an older sibling. So often, I work with toddlers and their new brother or sister (which I LOVE), but it was a nice treat to photograph a bigger child with baby holding ability where we didn't need to worry
2 weeks ago I did six back to back Spring Mini Sessions at Bridgman Park in North Vancouver. These were my first set of Mini Sessions that I advertised and set up in advance, and I was so encouraged by the quick response from families!
I stalked my weather App for two weeks beforehand, and the rainy forecast had me nervous, but I was so thankful the first drop didn't fall until the very last click of the last family session. Phew! In the end, each of the six families broug

The Mayson family was my third of three photoshoots Cates Park in North Vancouver the other week. The sun was was getting a bit too bright by the time the third shoot rolled around, and the ground was defrosting creating mud everywhere we tried to walk making it hard to move around - but despite this, a smile never left the Mayson family's face.
I had never met Jen or her husband Derek before, but instantly I got the feeling that they're the type of people you want at a di
Shannon and I first met on a co-ed floor hockey team that a friend was organizing. For several years, we held down the fort as the female requirement and led that team to several “championships” but beer nights and free urban rec t-shirts are now long behind us in exchange for diapers and sticky fingers, and I got to meet up with Shannon, Brennan and their toddler and newborn. The morning was super cold, but we lucked out with brilliant sunshine and since it was just set up a
Sunday morning as the sun rose (on what turned out to be a gorgeous cloudless day), I headed out to Cates Park in North Vancouver to meet Niño and Kelsey, along with their 7 week old, Linus. Niño and Kelsey are pretty much the most laid back new parents you’ll ever meet. They had this cool, relaxed, calm aura and vibe. Baby Linus cried most of the session, but they just laughed, soaked in the moment and didn’t get flustered - and it shows in the photos.
I had a blast with t
